Client lives at home in HOGSTHORPE with her parents , who also deliver care. The hours are 16 per week Monday 2.30pm -6.30pm , Tuesday to Friday 3 hours 2.30pm - 5.30pm. No weekend working. Experience of caring not essential , but candidates must be kind and empathic. There is a lot of moving and handling with this client using overhead tracking hoist and slide sheets. There is one shower per week using Wetroom. two other carers are also employed. client is of a very happy and pleasant temperament , who presents much younger than her age. all training given by qualified nurse. candidates require driving licence to get to HOGSTHORPE village.

The Role The role of the candidate will be, both to provide direct two-to-one care for the client in the home and community, and 1:1 care at night as an oncall sleep in shift. The successful candidate will be friendly, professional and a team player, with a passion to provide high quality care. Direct Care The candidate will work alongside another support worker to deliver the following care to the client: personal care, medication administration, and meeting manual handling needs. There must be a commitment to build an appropriate friendship and rapport with the client, promote privacy and dignity and provide a high standard of therapeutic support in line with the relevant care plan’s and guidance.
