About The Anchor Inn, Salterforth The Anchor Inn is a historic pub in Salterforth, about to embark on an exciting new chapter. Following a £250,000 renovation, were set to re-open with a fresh look and a renewed commitment to quality, community, and memorable experiences. Our relaunch is scheduled for early July, and were looking for a Head Chef whos ready to make their mark! Role Overview Were searching for a dynamic, creative, and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen through this transformation and beyond. Youll have the unique opportunity to shape the menu, build your own team, and play a key part in establishing The Anchor Inn as a culinary destination in the area. Key Responsibilities • Oversee all kitchen operations, from opening preparations through to daily service, • Design, develop, and regularly update menus with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, • Recruit, train, and lead the kitchen team, • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation, • Maintain rigorous health, safety, and hygiene standards, • Manage ordering, stock control, and kitchen budgets, • Work closely with management on promotions, events, and new offerings, • Minimum 2 years experience in a fast-paced kitchen, with responsibility for service execution and food quality., • A passion for modern pub food and creative menu development, • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, relaunch environment, • Excellent attention to detail and high standards, • Food hygiene certification (Level 3 or above preferred), • Flexibility and a strong work ethic are essential. Youll be expected to adapt to the evolving needs of the kitchen and business, including working evenings, weekends, and busy service periods., • Commitment to building the best, most creative, and locally inspired food offering in the area.
