We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and organised Morning Cook/Chef to join our growing team a Caffe based in Chelmsford This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking our breakfast and brunch menu to a consistently high standard while helping ensure the kitchen runs smoothly each day. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their food, and works well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch dishes to a high standard., • Carry out daily food preparation ready for service., • Ensure all food is presented consistently and meets quality standards., • Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness at all times., • Follow food safety procedures, HACCP guidelines and allergen regulations., • Monitor stock levels and report shortages., • Assist with stock rotation and deliveries., • Help reduce food waste through good kitchen organisation., • Clean kitchen equipment, workstations and food preparation areas., • Support the wider café team during busy periods., • Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials where appropriate., • Open and prepare the kitchen for daily service. What We’re Looking For • Previous experience as a Cook or Chef., • A positive attitude with a strong work ethic., • Ability to work calmly under pressure., • Excellent organisation and time management skills., • High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail., • Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety regulations., • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)., • A team player who is dependable, punctual and takes pride in their work.
