Junior / Sous Chef (Breakfast & Lunch) Part-Time or Full-Time | 5–6 Month Position (Potential to Extend) We are a friendly, independent family-run café in the heart of Mill Hill East, currently looking for a talented Junior Chef or Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen who enjoys brunch-style cooking and wants to be part of a supportive working environment. We’re looking for someone creative, reliable, and passionate about good food, with the confidence to contribute ideas towards new dishes and menu development. The role is initially offered as a 5–6 month position, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. We are also open to both part-time and full-time applicants. Responsibilities Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods Assisting with the development of new menu items and specials Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards Monitoring portion control and minimising waste What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a breakfast chef, chef de partie, junior chef, or similar role preferred Experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen Brunch-style experience is highly desirable Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Must be available to work weekends Hours Part-time or full-time available Approximately 30–45 hours per week Weekend availability required If you’re passionate about fresh food and want to work in a welcoming independent café environment, we’d love to hear from you.
