Freelance Site Manager – Civil Engineering / Water Infrastructure Location: Bournemouth Rate: Competitive Day Rate Duration: 12 Months About the Role Bond Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor specialising in water infrastructure, pipeline works and environmental projects. Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality schemes safely, on time and within budget, often across technically challenging projects within the utilities sector. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint a Site Manager on a freelance basis. The Role You will be responsible for managing site operations across civil engineering and water infrastructure projects, ensuring safe delivery and maintaining programme and quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Day-to-day management of site operations on pipeline and civil engineering projects, • Supervision of subcontractors, direct labour and plant, • Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations, • Driving a strong health & safety culture on site, • Liaising with clients, engineers and key stakeholders, • Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation, • Reporting progress to senior management Requirements • Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering / utilities / water sector, • Strong background in pipeline works, drainage, or infrastructure projects, • SMSTS (essential), • CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred), • First Aid (preferred), • EUSR Water Hygiene (desirable), • Strong leadership and communication skills, • Ability to manage programmes and deliver under pressure What’s on Offer • Competitive freelance day rate, • Opportunity to work with a respected contractor in the water & infrastructure sector, • Long-term pipeline of projects, • Immediate start available
