Are you a hands-on Field Service Engineer with experience on plant machinery, forklifts, access equipment or HGVs? From this Thames Valley base, the business delivers nationwide service, repair and statutory inspection support to customers across construction, manufacturing and industrial sectors. The Role As a Field Service Engineer, you will travel from the Reading / Oxfordshire area to customer sites across the UK, carrying out: • Service, maintenance and repair, • Fault finding and diagnostics Youll be working both independently and as part of a wider team, with occasional overnight stays required depending on job location. Key Responsibilities • Service, maintain and repair plant machinery and industrial equipment across customer sites, • Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), • Respond to breakdowns and restore equipment to safe working condition, • Inspect machinery and recommend repair or replacement of components, • Complete job reports and documentation accurately, • Communicate clearly with customers regarding work completed and next steps, • Maintain high standards of safety, quality and professionalism, • Support yard-based work when required at the local base What Were Looking For, • Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Plant Engineer / Service Engineer / Mobile Engineer, • Background working on plant, access equipment, forklifts, HGVs or similar machinery, • Strong fault finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively, • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering or Plant Maintenance, • Full UK driving licence, • Plant hire, • Powered access, • Forklift / material handling, • Construction equipment, • Agricultural machinery, • HGV / commercial vehicles, • Industrial field service Whats on Offer, • £35,000 - £50,000 basic salary, • Overtime available, • Company van, • Tools and PPE provided, • Full-time permanent role, • Ongoing training and development, • Opportunity to gain further qualifications, • Company pension, • Clear progression opportunities Why Apply?, • Established engineering business with a strong reputation, • Based in the Thames Valley (Reading / Oxfordshire) with excellent access to major routes, • Nationwide client base across key industrial sectors, • Opportunity to work in a role offering variety, autonomy and responsibility JBRP1_UKTJ
