Fixed Term / Bank and various hours availableThe NHS is gearing up for mass delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine, as soon as it becomes available.While it isn’t yet certain when a Covid-19 vaccine will be available, in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin we are working hard to ensure we are ready to offer it when it is.This will be the biggest immunisation programme of our time.We are looking to recruit from our local communities to enable us to provide a safe and effective vaccination programme while continuing to offer timely access and minimal impact on other NHS services.We now need your help to fill a number of clinical and non-clinical roles in our vaccination programme teams.As a Registered Health Care Professional working in immunisations, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of vaccinations for the COVID-19 vaccine(s). The post holder will undertake activities such as: obtaining consent, clinical assessment, dilution and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials and post vaccine observations support.In particular, the post holder will be responsible for: The configuration of the vaccination pod and vaccination station.Obtain consent agreementsConducting clinical assessments.The review of complex medical histories and potential adverse reactions.Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence-based policies and procedures and ensuring contemporaneous records are kept. Our vaccination delivery services will operate out of the following locations:Vaccination Centres: TelfordShrewsbury Local Vaccination Services: LudlowBridgnorthWhitchurchMarket DraytonOswestry We will also operate roving teams rotating around the county so that we reach all of our population.We will operate several different shift patterns covering an 8am – 8pm window.
