The William IV is a traditional 16th century country pub nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills, surrounded by beautiful walking trails and riding countryside. It boasts a charming fireplace, flagstone floors and an intimate setting. About the role You will be responsible for: · Managing the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar. · Supporting recruitment, induction and appraisals of employees. · Training, developing and supervising our bar and restaurant team members. · Maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and service in the bar and restaurant. · Enhancing our guest experience and effectively handling queries and feedback. · Organising events and parties whilst also managing our digital presence and social media content. · Ordering and controlling stock. About you Requirements: · Previous experience in a managerial role within a fine-dining, restaurant or pub. · Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal members of staff and our external customers. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and experience working with ambiguity (every day will vary in terms of requirements and expectations). · In-depth knowledge of beverage trends, wines and spirits.
