About the Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils with Autism, SEMH needs, and learning difficulties. Work 1:1 and in small groups to provide tailored support, helping pupils engage with the curriculum and build confidence. Assist the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment. Provide personal care when required, including help with toileting, feeding, and daily routines ensuring every child feels safe, supported and respected. This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same. What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you’ll need: A caring, patient and nurturing approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Experience supporting children or young people (formal or informal). A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs thrive. Experience in education or with SEN is preferred but not essential – your attitude, commitment and willingness to learn are what matter most.
