Role Overview Position: Year 1 Class Teacher (KS1)Start Date: September 2026 - July 2027Location: HaringeyPay: MPS 3-4 Inner London (£226.86 - £237.64 per day, PAYE)Contract: Full-time, full academic year Key Responsibilities In this role, you will lead a Year 1 class, supporting pupils as they transition into Key Stage 1. Responsibilities include: • Planning and delivering engaging, well-differentiated lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum, • Supporting a smooth transition from EYFS into KS1, • Delivering high-quality phonics sessions and developing early reading skills, • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress to inform teaching and targeted interventions, • Creating a positive, engaging classroom environment that encourages independence and enthusiasm, • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies with clear expectations, • Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEN and EAL, • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents, • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including meetings and school eventsThe Ideal Candidate Will:, • Have strong KS1 teaching experience, ideally within Year 1, • Be confident in delivering phonics and early literacy, • Have a good understanding of EYFS and transition into KS1, • Demonstrate strong, consistent behaviour management, • Be committed to raising attainment for all pupils If you're looking to join a school where you'll feel supported, valued, and able to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
