Birtenshaw is looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teacher, to work within our school in Fazakerley. About Us ..... About the Role ..... The main duties / responsibilities will include: • To maintain an up-to-date understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) principles, definitions and basic practice. - To effectively co-ordinate the work across the school in at least one given subject or key skill area as agreed with the Head Teacher. - To communicate and consult with parents/carers and other appropriate people, preparing reports for and participating in child focused meetings, as required. - To recognise, value and raise the achievement of children. - To use effective teaching strategies and lesson structures to deliver the curriculum - To promote social and emotional development, positive behaviour and, where appropriate to the age group taught, to prepare for adulthood What we offer ..... • Purpose built facilities including: a sensory soft play room, multi-sensory room with immersive technology, sensory integration room, rebound therapy room and a 25 metre hydrotherapy pool with multi-sensory sound and light system • Group Income Protection Scheme.
