Purpose of the Role The Senior Project Manager will manage the delivery of complex projects within TREAT-NMD’s portfolio, ensuring successful outcomes, technical excellence, high standards of quality and governance, and providing guidance and leadership within projects. This role involves managing multiple projects, ensuring suitable project frameworks are developed and maintained, providing leadership within project teams, and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders internationally. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Coordination • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects across TREAT-NMD’s portfolio., • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations., • Monitor progress, identify risks (RAID), and implement mitigation strategies., • Contribute to organisational strategy through effective project planning and delivery, • Manage project budgets, including internal costs, external payments and change control, • Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, funders, industry partners, and patient organisations., • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders., • Utilise project management tools (e.g. MS Project or similar) for planning and reporting., • Support junior team members providing guidance and support as required · Budget & Resource Management: Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets and resources within a wider project portfolio. · Technical Tools: Proficiency in MS Project or similar with an awareness of data analysis tools (e.g. R Studio) · Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively across all levels and with a diverse set of stakeholders. · Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. · Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage project teams · Flexibility & Adaptability: Comfortable working as part of a small team within a dynamic environment, continually adapting to new challenges and opportunities. Qualifications Essential: • Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline, • 3+ years Project Management experience, • Formal Project Management qualification (PMQ/PMP preferred), • Experience in healthcare, academic, or international multidisciplinary settings, • Understanding of neuromuscular or rare disease research TREAT-NMD (Internal) · COO · Head of Projects · Project PaLaDIn Team (EC grant funded project) · Research & Data Team · Technical Project Manager External · Global Registry Network · Customers/clients · Industry partners · Patient organisations · IT/software developers Other Relevant Information The post holder will be expected to develop and maintain an up to date and thorough knowledge of specific policies, data governance, any related / associated processes and procedures, and a detailed understanding of the rare neuromuscular disease field, as well as the general culture, products, services and planned future initiatives of TREAT-NMD. Some UK/international travel and overnight stays may be required. The post holder may be required to undertake work outside of normal working hours on an occasional basis, in order to deliver their key responsibilities. Core Values and Behaviours 1.
