We are a carpet edging company. We work closely with carpet retailers. We receive carpets. Cut them to right size and shape. Whip or tape the edges. We are looking for an individual to help within our workshop.

The Factory Operative will be responsible for various tasks involved in the production process, including but not limited to working on filling lines, packing stock, maintaining cleanliness, upholding safety standards, and being adaptable to different tasks as required.

Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used and stored safely. Requirements: Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial services preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Availability to work during afternoon hours, starting from 4 PM. Duties: - Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting equipment, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs - Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential maintenance needs - Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity of equipment - Building management systems, air handling units for temperature control and Dali lighting control systems as well as a wide range of renewables products such as ground source heat pumps and solar PV and AHU - Various works which may included electrical and mechanical works including plumbing - Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or installations - Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs - Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner - Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations What we need from you: - Fluent in English, both written and verbal - Proven experience in a similar role - Strong mechanical knowledge, including experience with logic controllers and schematics - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to weld and perform electrical work is preferred - Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and leadership - ECS/CSCS Card - 18th Edition would be an advantage but not essential If you are a motivated individual with a strong mechanical background and a passion for problem-solving, we encourage you to apply for this position.
