As a shopkeeper you will be responsible for: · Defining the market position for the business and deciding what to sell. You will also be responsible for forecasting demand developing the brand image of the business for the long run; · Providing necessary training for the junior colleagues; · Preparing and implementing staff rota and the allocation of work; · Maintaining paperwork including the financial and other shop records; · Planning, implementing and maintaining security for the business premises; · Determines staffing, financial, material and other short- and long-term requirements; · Maintaining records of the suppliers, goods received and authorised payments for the suppliers; · Receiving and deciding vending prices and credit items; · Handling customer complaints and providing necessary information to the staffs and customers as regards to the current products, offers and merchandising; · Ensuring and examining the quality of the merchandising; · Taking necessary steps for the effective advertisement and display facilities of the goods and products · Ordering new stocks as and when necessary and ensuring that sufficient products and goods are in stock based on the customers’ demand. In addition to the responsibilities referred to above, you must have excellent communication skills and a great sense of innovation and leadership quality. You need to be flexible, self-motivated, organised and time sincere. You must have the ability to work independently as well as a part of team having excellent attention to details. You should have three years’ of experiences in the similar role in a busy environment.
