THE ROLE As Sous Chef, you'll be working closely with the Head Chef in leading your team from the front, drawing on previous chef and management experience. Key responsibilities for the role are to assist the Head Chef in: Running the service element of the kitchen (cooking standards, prep levels, managing the team) Hygeine and Cleanliness levels + Health and Safety Standards (Due Diligence, Record Keeping, overall compliance.) Our Shoot Captains are the soul of our competitive socialising experience. You will bring the experience to life for our guests. For this role, We are looking for exuberant individuals with big personalities who always bring the fun and positive energy. You will run a section of our gaming pegs and control the entire guests journey for multiple groups throughout the operation. Previous hosting experience will really help you in this role. You will be expected to introduce the game, set guests up on the system and get them started. Show them how to use our Food & Beverage kiosks and support them in food and drinks orders. As well as ensuring that they are looked after with our 12 steps of service at every stage of their experience. You will understand our bookings system and how to manage the entire bookings journey, whilst also being an expert in our food & beverage operations, ensuring service is delivered to all gaming pegs in your section. You will be a critical piece of the front of house team, always looking for opportunities to enhance the guest experience, giving hints tips and guidance, driving peoples competitive spirit and engaging them in the game. He loves being with people, listening to music, being read to, getting foot massages and playing games with his younger sister. He also enjoys walks and loves nature. He has significant complex care and medical needs; he is reliant on his family and carers to meet all his needs and is supported by a dedicated team of carers and support workers providing 1:1 sometimes 2:1 24/7. He is autistic, non verbal, has a movement disorder and epilepsy which results in regular seizures, a PEG for medication and fluids but eats foods orally. He can walk with support but is also a wheelchair user. He lives with his loving and supportive family, who recognise that his team of carers support workers are instrumental in his overall development and well being. Overview of role: He requires an experienced waking night carer to join his team to assist with his bedtime routine and tend to all his needs throughout the night. This is an active night as you will need to keep a close eye on him, and following protocols if he has a seizure, supporting him with personal care, monitoring for any signs of distress, and In the mornings administering his PEG feed and medications. You will help sooth him, making sure he is comfortable, and he can get as much rest as possible. All activity throughout the night is to be accurately documented. Additional shifts available to cover leave etc. To attend staff meetings & supervision. To participate in training as required. To arrive in plenty of time to begin shift, read the handover notes and to receive information in handover from the staff team regarding the day’s events. Keep his environment clean and tidy. Help to fold and tidy away his laundry. You may have to attend holidays with the young person, which is usually for 1 week to 10 days in the summer and support him during occasional long weekends away mostly with his family.
