Job Title: Property Assistant Department: Factoring Services Salary: Grade 5 (£33,060 - £35,421) Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Contract: Permanent, Full-time Role Overview Queens Cross Housing Association is an award-winning social landlord based in the northwest of Glasgow. Recognised for its innovation, quality services and high performance, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Factoring Services department as a Property Assistant. The Property Assistant plays a key role in delivering a high-quality property management service to approximately 2,700 homeowners on behalf of Queens Cross Factoring Ltd. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will help ensure customers receive a responsive, professional, and efficient service by coordinating repairs, supporting estate management activities, carrying out property inspections, monitoring insurance claims, and responding to customer enquiries. This is a varied, fast-paced, customer-facing role involving regular contact with homeowners, contractors, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a strong customer-first approach to delivering responsive, high-quality service. Key Responsibilities • Deliver a responsive, professional property management service by managing enquiries from homeowners, commercial tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders., • Coordinate reactive repairs, maintenance, and insurance claims, ensuring work is progressed efficiently and customers are kept informed throughout., • Carry out estate, property, and pre- and post-repair inspections to maintain high standards across factored and commercial properties., • Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks in line with organisational procedures, policies, and health and safety requirements., • Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and contractors to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services and support the effective operation of the Factoring Services team. Essential Criteria • Experience working in a busy, customer-focused environment, managing a varied workload and competing priorities., • Experience coordinating repairs, maintenance, or property-related services., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate confidently in person, by telephone, and in writing., • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines., • A proactive, solution-focused approach with sound judgement and the ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience maintaining accurate records and using business systems., • Basic knowledge of property maintenance, building construction, or related health and safety requirements.
