Responsibilities • Safely operate skip lorries to transport waste, debris, or construction materials between designated locations, • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with road regulations, • Load and unload materials carefully, adhering to safety protocols and weight limits, • Navigate urban and rural routes efficiently, maintaining punctuality for scheduled deliveries and pickups, • Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and compliance documentation, • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate schedules and resolve any logistical issues, • Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws diligently to prevent accidents or incidents, • Carry out daily vehicle checks and keeping the vehicle clean and presentable, • Follow all relevant driving, health and safety and waste regulations Qualifications • Valid class 2 HGV driving license with relevant experience for operating skip lorries., • Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with knowledge of skip lorry operations or similar heavy-duty vehicles, • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures, • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record, • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading/unloading materials safely, • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel, • In date Tacho card & CPC We are keen to promote from within and give the right person the opportunity to take on more responsibility, new roles and increased earnings as they develop. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Document Controller to join our team and support multiple live projects. This is a key role within the business, working closely with our Project Managers, Design Team, clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure project information is accurate, controlled, distributed correctly and followed through. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their role, uses their own initiative and keeps the wider project team informed. This is not a position where you will simply wait to be given tasks. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' relevant Document Controller experience within the construction, engineering or M&E industry. The Role As our Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing project documentation from receipt through to project completion across several live projects. A key part of this role is being proactive. When drawings, technical information, approvals, comments, correspondence or other project documents are received, you will be expected to identify whether action is required, notify the appropriate member of the project team and follow the matter through. Key Responsibilities • Manage project documentation from receipt through to completion., • Monitor incoming drawings, technical documents, correspondence and project information., • Identify actions arising from incoming information and promptly notify the relevant Project Manager or team member., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date document and drawing registers., • Issue drawings, specifications, technical submissions and other project documentation., • Manage document revisions and version control., • Ensure superseded information is clearly identified and removed from circulation., • Manage document workflows, reviews, approvals and returns., • Proactively chase outstanding drawings, approvals, comments and information., • Highlight missing information, potential issues and approaching deadlines., • Keep Project Managers and the wider team informed of important project updates., • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams., • Manage and prioritise document control requirements across multiple live projects., • Produce and coordinate project handover documentation and O&M Manuals., • Attend site and project meetings as required, typically at least once per week., • Ensure actions and document requirements arising from meetings are followed through promptly., • Help improve and develop BAU's document-control procedures as the business continues to grow. What We Are Looking For • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Document Controller., • Previous experience within construction, engineering or M&E., • Experience using document-management systems such as Viewpoint, Procore, Asite, Aconex, SharePoint or similar., • Strong understanding of document-control procedures, drawing registers, revisions and version control., • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel., • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to manage several projects and competing priorities., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Confidence to contact and chase Project Managers and other team members when action is required., • Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively., • A proactive approach and confidence to use your own initiative., • Ability to recognise when something needs action without waiting to be instructed., • Someone who takes ownership of tasks and follows them through to completion.
