Plan and allocate resources efficiently to optimise production schedules. Select, maintain and organise the repair of all equipment and machinery. Accountability: You will be directly accountable for: The timely completion and delivery of all project deadlines. The consistent quality of all products. Controlling garment production costs. Minimising the number of repairs and recuts. Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed. Qualifications: At least 15 years of experience in garment manufacturing. Extensive knowledge of garment production processes, from machinery to construction. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve production issues. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a bonus. You will report to the Operations Manager. Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety guidelines. Take responsibility for the maintenance and repair of all studio equipment and machinery. Success Metrics The Floor Manager's day is a dynamic blend of planning, hands-on problem-solving, and team leadership to ensure the atelier runs smoothly. Planning: You’ll work with the Operations Manager to plan the upcoming week's workload, with a focus on preparing the next day's schedule the day before. Problem-Solving: You'll be actively involved on the floor, providing guidance and showing machinists how to efficiently work through any technical challenges that arise with a specific style. Efficiency: You’ll be continuously monitoring production times, communicating budgeted hours to the team and keeping work on track to prevent projects from running over time. You'll also work directly with the Quality Controller to ensure all garments meet our standards and get machinists to rectify any issues immediately.
