Our Kitchen Assistants/Team Members are responsible for preparing our food offering to the highest quality and standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation in the kitchen. Opening hours: from 10.00am to 2.00am from Monday to Sunday What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists: - Ensuring that the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared Pasta Sauces and other ingredients that ensure the right amount for quick service but does not negatively impact food costs i.e. wastage. Including preparing par levels in the pre-prepared cold delivery fridge. - Wear a full smart clean uniform to the brand standard at all times whilst on shift and protective clothing as required. - Ensure the full Pasta Evangelists Standard is adhered to, thereby ensuring our Pasta and other Products are kept to the highest possible standard for Best product quality to our customer. - To ensure that the kitchen is exceptionally clean and complies with all Health and Safety / Quality and Safety regulations. - To keep an eye on the Availability and Inform the Team leaders and wider team in advance. - Document and keep a record of information on food as appropriate to the company policy and effective date labelling and make sure stock rotation principles (FIFO) are fully adhered to. - Ensure that all par levels are maintained. - Ensure any food wastage is recorded accurately. - Utilise the SOP to maximise the quality and speed of food readiness. - For all equipment i.e. Fridges, Pasta Boiler, Ovens, Microwaves etc ensure that the right temperature records are kept and the correct procedures are followed for safe food handling. - Ensure all equipment is maintained to the SOP standard. E.g. Kitchen management system, oven, fridges, freezers etc. - Preparing and cooking food to the highest of standards and complying with the preparation of all food that meets Pasta Evangelist’s requirements as laid out within “How to Cards”. - Ensure all food is prepared quickly, in the correct order, to the How to Card standard and in line with all SOP’s. - Full Checking deliveries into the Store and reporting any issues to the Team Leader/ Manager. To Ensure that all deliveries are Received & stored appropriately and storage requirements are adhered to. - Full Operating the wash-up area effectively and ensuring any equipment used is thoroughly cleaned. - Full Use correct signage whilst cleaning is taking place. - Full Ensure that all rubbish is disposed of correctly at all times, following the company waste management processes in relation to recycling and adhering to Local Authority requirements. - Reporting of any equipment defects quickly to Team leader or Area Manager. - Full Ensure that all close down kitchen procedures are followed and that the kitchen is always clean and prepared as possible for the next shift. - Full Regularly organise pest checks and report any concerns to the Team leader and higher management. The Client The client is an outgoing 19 year old Male, who is a wheelchair user, and communicates using an eye gaze. The Client lives with his family in Saxmundham. He is dependent on his support workers to promote his safety and assist with the activities of daily living. Social and recreational pursuits are an important element of the client's care, as he enjoys socialising with friends, going to concerts and attending social clubs. The Role The role of the candidate will be, both to provide direct two-to-one care for the client in the home and community, and 1:1 care at night as an oncall sleep in shift. The successful candidate will be friendly, professional and a team player, with a passion to provide high quality care. Direct Care The candidate will work alongside another support worker to deliver the following care to the client: personal care, medication administration, and meeting manual handling needs. There must be a commitment to build an appropriate friendship and rapport with the client, promote privacy and dignity and provide a high standard of therapeutic support in line with the relevant care plan’s and guidance. The candidate must have a clean driving licence, and be willing to drive the client’s vehicle to attend concerts, and other recreational activities with the client. Full training, support and guidance will be provided from the Case manager who will oversee the Care Team. Essential Must have experience working with young people/ adults with additional health and physical needs. Must be reliable, punctual, professional and friendly. Must have excellent communication skills, a caring approach, with good initiative and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team Must be fluent in English - both written and verbal. Must have a Clean driving licence Must have a satisfactory DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK Desirable Working with young people/ adults who use an eye gaze for communication. Experience in the safe use of Manual handling equipment. Flexibility to occasionally adjust or increase hours in accordance with the client and family’s needs. Location: Saxmundham, SUFFOLK Contract type: Permanent Contract Support Worker Hours and Pay Hours offered between 30-40 per week (negotiable) £11-12 per hour (dependent on weekday or weekend rates)
