Summary Are you an experienced Plant Workshop Manager or Workshop Supervisor with strong plant maintenance knowledge and proven leadership skills A well-established engineering and plant business is looking for a proactive Plant Workshop Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of its busy workshop in Eversley. This is an excellent opportunity for a Plant Workshop Manager to take ownership of workshop performance, lead a skilled team, and help drive improvements across maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency. The successful Plant Workshop Manager will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving preventative maintenance processes, and maintaining high workshop standards. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage a team of mechanics and welders, allocating workloads effectively., • Support recruitment, coaching, and development of workshop staff., • Ensure servicing, repairs, and inspections are completed efficiently and safely., • Oversee preventative maintenance programmes to maximise plant availability., • Support engineers with diagnosing complex plant and mechanical faults., • Ensure all 12-month inspections are audited and signed off correctly., • Monitor damage charges, labour usage, and parts costs accurately., • Work closely with the Parts Controller to maintain effective stock levels. Skills & Experience Required • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Workshop Manager, Workshop Supervisor, or similar role., • Strong background within plant maintenance and repair environments., • NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification., • Proven people management and team leadership experience., • Good understanding of plant legislation, compliance, and HSQE standards., • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills., • Experience implementing workshop systems and processes., • Experience with Syrinx plant management systems would be advantageous.
