Key Duties and Responsibilities include: Planning, coordinating, and managing transport and distribution operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods Overseeing logistics planning, including route optimisation, scheduling, and resource allocation Monitoring supply chain performance and implementing strategic improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness Managing relationships with freight forwarders, shipping partners, and third-party logistics providers Ensuring full compliance with UK transport regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices Supervising operational staff and supporting performance management Analysing operational data and preparing reports to support senior management decision-making Developing and implementing contingency plans to address delays or disruptions Maintaining accurate records of shipments, inventory movement, and distribution processes Collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination across supply chain functions
