We are seeking an experienced professional to provide independent oversight of support workers placed by the local authority to care for young and vulnerable children, including children with additional care needs. The role involves visiting placements, reviewing standards of care, and ensuring that council-placed workers meet required safeguarding and welfare standards. Requirements • Level 5 or higher qualification in Leadership and Management, such as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Services, Residential Childcare pathway, or equivalent., • At least two years’ experience working directly with young and vulnerable children, including children with additional care needs., • Experience overseeing or reviewing the work of carers or support workers is desirable., • Strong understanding of safeguarding standards and local authority placement requirements., • Confident, independent-minded, and comfortable holding others accountable.
