The menu explores the ingredients, flavours and techniques that took Luke to Bangkok and its unique foodways; Chinese in origin but now uniquely Thai. A masterclass in wok cooking, roasted meats and spicy sauces, each hinging on the specialist Thai herbs and ingredients cultivated and grown at Luke’s nursery, Ryewater, in Dorset. The bar focuses on sharing Singha beer towers, slushies and chasers; the signature Speedboat cocktails – Snakesblood Negroni; Shop Window Old Fashioned; and Jelly Bia made with frozen Leo Lager; as well as softs such as a Snakefruit soda. The Position We're looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team, creating exceptional dishes and delivering an all-encapsulating experience to our guests. You'll have experience working in a quality kitchen, adhering to standard operating and Health and Safety procedures. We are looking for a talented and charismatic Waiter / Waitress to join the team at Brasserie of Light Contemporary, artistic and elegant, Brasserie of Light is a destination restaurant and bar offering all day dining in a chic, colourful and light filled interiors set within Selfridges department store. Brasserie of Light serves an eclectic mix of classic British and internationally inspired dishes with an extensive all-day A La Carte menu featuring; breakfast, elevenses, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch alongside wine and cocktails. As an experienced Waiter / Waitress you will be a key part of the front-of-house team delivering the highest levels of service and supporting and working closely with the Head Waiter in the section. Position Title: Barista Reports to: Store Manager/ Assistant Manager Department: Operations Job Summary: The barista is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. They are also responsible for educating customers about products. The barista will fulfill and any other duties that the Store Manager will assign to him. Main Duties: - Selling and serving products to customer in a courteous and friendly manner. - Safely handling all hot and cold drinks during preparation. - Receiving all customers orders. - Making drinks using specialist equipment. - Ensuring that all customers are educated on our products and services. - Providing the highest quality standards to customers. - Answering customers questions regarding any products in the shop. - Weighting, grinding, and packing coffee's per customers order according to company's guidelines - Routinely cleaning all the shops areas (Bar lounge, dining floor, toilets, trash) - Reporting any potential threat safety hazard to Assistant Manager. - Checking all the machines regularly during the day. - Setting up the coffee shop ready for opening. - Collecting food from the kitchen area and returning dishes if needed. - Serving and cleaning lounge when needed. - Refilling products in all the shop areas. - Keeping service counters clean ad fully stocked. - Promoting customer care through all actions. - Informing Assistant Manager of low stock levels. - Ensuring that all cabinets are stocked and tidied to deliver a full service. - Using the correct handling and lifting procedures as outlined in induction training and shop manuals. - Ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the shop health and safety standards. - Cooperating with other staff members.
