We’re recruiting for a forward-thinking company in Richmond, North Yorkshire, seeking a proactive, part-time SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality activities. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and enforce SHEQ policies that ensure compliance with legal and industry standards, • Conduct risk assessments, manage non-conformance, and implement corrective and preventative actions, • Coordinate employee safety inductions and ongoing training programs, • Ensure compliance with SHEQ-related accreditations (e.g., Achilles UVDB, ISO9001, ISO14001) and manage audits, • Investigate incidents or accidents and oversee worker’s compensation claims where necessary, • Capture, analyse, and report SHEQ performance data to drive improvement, • Collaborate with operational teams to integrate SHEQ considerations across all projects and operations Essential: • Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH, • Proven experience in SHEQ management, ideally in the Water or Construction sectors, • Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills, • Hands-on and proactive, able to support all areas of the business, • Meticulous attention to detail to maintain high standards of safety and quality Hours: Part-time, 2/3 days per week Salary: Day rate on a self employed basis or a permanent contract This is a fantastic opportunity for a SHEQ Manager who wants to contribute to a forward-thinking company, work in a supportive and dynamic environment, and enjoy the flexibility to work in a way that suits them.
