Bank Food Service Assistant  Ty Ynysawdre Extra Care, Bridgend  8.94 per hour  Do you know your Asparagus from your Avocado? Your Battenberg from your Bara Brith? Your Cabbage from your Celery? We could go on..  Weve cut the jargon so you know exactly what to expect!  We are looking for someone who wants a role that is as flexible as their lifestyle. You can work whenever it suits you (providing we have shifts available  but if you can tell us your availability in advance you get a brownie point!See what we did there?)  The role is working in a busy kitchen, which can feed up to 60 tenants plus their family and friends every meal time. The shifts are normally between 9:30am  3:00pm, so it could be perfect for someone who is not able to work longer or evening shifts.  The Extracare schemes provide a safe and homely place for older and vulnerable people to live as independently as possible. You will be the smiling face they see when they visit the dining room for a delicious and nutritious meal  and a good chat doesnt go amiss either! Meal times are important to our tenants, its a time to relax and enjoy the company of other tenants, visitors and Linc Staff alike - after all, the fondest memories are made gathered around the table!  Well give you all the training you need, so please dont be put off if you havent had a role like this before.  You will have the opportunity to carry out a variety of kitchen duties from preparing vegetables to serving food and washing up  no two days will be the same.  If you work in a clean as you go way, this role will be perfect for you! Keeping the kitchen, dining room and equipment sparkly clean is important, dont worry  well provide the marigolds!  As we have ExtraCare Schemes across South Wales, access to a vehicle would be desirable for this role.
