Mercor

Mercor is hiring Computer Science PhDs and exceptional Master’s graduates to help shape the next generation of frontier large language models. You’ll design, solve, and review challenging graduate-level CS problems (systems, algorithms, AI/ML, databases, security, compilers, HCI, etc.) that directly inform model capabilities and safety. This is a remote, flexible contract role (10–20 hours/week) with weekly payouts via Stripe Connect. You’ll collaborate asynchronously with a cohort of experts, creating gold-standard problems, solutions, and rubrics that test reasoning and rigor beyond rote memorization. Applicants should demonstrate excellent English, high attention to detail, and comfort working in an independent, research-driven environment. Preferred locations: U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand.
