Job Description Job Purpose: The Line Cook brings passion and precision to every plate, preparing high-quality dishes that showcase Main Street Hospitality’s dedication to memorable dining experiences. With a focus on teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail, the Line Cook supports kitchen operations to deliver consistent, inspired cuisine that delights our guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards., • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, ensuring readiness for service., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines., • Follow proper food handling practices to ensure guest safety and satisfaction., • Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service., • Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages or needs to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef., • Participate in daily prep work and assist with inventory control., • Uphold Main Street Hospitality’s commitment to excellence in every dish served., • Perform any additional relevant tasks requested by management. Education & Experience: • Previous experience as a Line Cook preferred; culinary school training a plus., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality., • Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment., • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude., • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure., • Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a productive pace without sacrificing quality., • Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Professional Characteristics: • Passionate about culinary arts and hospitality., • Reliable, punctual, and team-focused., • Positive attitude and willingness to learn., • Able to thrive under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen., • Takes initiative and follows through on assignments with minimal supervision., • Able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment., • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand for extended periods., • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., • Must be able to work in hot and fast-paced kitchen environments.
