Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and talented Stylist Assistant to join our dynamic team of professionals! Our ideal candidate is someone who has a friendly and outgoing personality, the ability to work well with a team and impeccable customer service. The Stylist Assistant is responsible for ensuring clients transition smoothly between hair services, providing exceptional shampoo experiences, assisting with blow dries, hair color services and cultivating positive relationships with clients. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and learn directly from our master stylists and progress into a successful hair stylist! Duties (include, but are not limited to): * Provide exceptional and professional client service. * Cultivate positive relationships by listening to guests to effectively identify and meet their needs. * Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the products and services available to clients. * Assist with shampoos, glazes/toners well as blowouts and color applications. * Assist with maintaining the tidiness of the salon, adhering to the visual standards of the salon floor and backbar areas. * Attend and engage in any hands-on training opportunities. * Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in hair styling Qualifications: * Completion of a state-approved cosmetology program and NY State licensure. * Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to build rapport with clients * Ability to maintain a professional and clean appearance at all times. * A passion for the beauty industry and a commitment to staying current with the latest trends and techniques. We offer in-house training and an apprentice program for assistants willing to transition into stylist/hairdressers.
