Key Responsibilities * Perform inspections, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel vehicles, including electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems * Interpret vehicle computer system failure codes and make necessary adjustments to engine and vehicle control modules * Review and complete repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports * Accurately document services using fleet maintenance software * Conduct post-service test drives to ensure safety and performance * Collaborate with teammates on complex repairs * Maintain professional, courteous communication with drivers and team members * Keep workspaces clean and compliant with OSHA standards * Perform other job-related duties as assigned What We're Looking For * Minimum 5 years of mechanic experience, preferably with diesel trucks * Strong skills in electrical and hydraulic systems * Well-rounded experience in mechanical and welding repairs * Familiarity with diesel vehicle diagnostics and preventative maintenance * Basic tool set required * Valid CDL Class B or A license, not required but a big plus * Ability to work independently within a shop environment * Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork What We Offer * Competitive compensation * 401(k) with company match * Medical, dental, and vision coverage * Life insurance and short-term/long-term disability * Employee Assistance Mental Health Program * Emergency Travel Assistance & Prepaid Legal Plan * Employee Stock Purchase Plan & Employee Relief Fund * Scholarship opportunities for employees’ children Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
