Contingent Upon Award Position Overview The Construction Manager (CM) provides full-time onsite construction management support for the Brooklyn VA Medical Center EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades project. The CM supports the COR by monitoring field progress, coordinating submittals and RFIs, tracking schedules and long-lead items, supporting inspections and commissioning, maintaining project records, and documenting compliance with VA standards, project specifications, and contract requirements. The CM provides contractor support only and will not perform inherently governmental functions, accept or reject work, authorize changes, approve RFIs or submittals, supervise Government personnel, or direct construction means and methods. Who you are Skilled at managing priorities and passionate about creating safe and collaborative work environments, you will supervise the implementation of large-scale energy performance projects. You’re resourceful, independent, and will proactively take initiative after consulting with our team of experts. As a Site Supervisor, you will contribute to delivering top quality projects to Ecosystem’s clients. You will supervise the work directly on site and resolve a variety of challenges in collaboration with a team of engineers. You will also ensure compliance with OHS regulations and the labor standards of the construction industry. This position requires daily presence at our client’s site. You will be assigned to one project at a time. What you will do • Establish a culture of excellence in Occupational Health & Safety and ensure that teams on site always follow OHS best practices., • Ensure the work proceeds smoothly and efficiently from day to day., • Make sure the work progresses as planned, open and close the site, manage various trades, and supervise subcontractors., • Cultivate a collaborative environment, ensuring positive interactions between clients, building users, subcontractors, and operators., • Check quality of work and ensure conformity with plans and specifications., • Represent the project engineers when they are not able to be on site and support them in a variety of related tasks that they need your help with.Your profile, • At least 8 years of experience working and supervising work on construction sites., • Specific knowledge of HVAC systems is required., • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications., • Knowledgeable about OHS standards and regulations., • Valid driver’s license., • Comfortable using MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)., • Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts between diverse stakeholders, often under stressful circumstances., • Ability to act as Ecosystem’s representative with all stakeholders and negotiate with professionalism. What Ecosystem offers…, • Annual base salary of approx. $90,000 - $110,000. Our members work in film, television, commercials, news, sports, and new media. What You’ll Do The DGA Operations Department is seeking an individual to fill the role of a part-time Theater Manager. This applicant should have strong communication and interpersonal skills. The applicant will join a team of Theater Managers responsible for the management of one of the most prominent private screening event facilities in Manhattan. This candidate will be responsible for acting as a liaison with studio/distributor contracts, catering companies, security vendors and theater patrons. This role is onsite only at the New York headquarters. Essential duties and Responsibilities • Provide the highest level of customer service to all DGA members, patrons, vendors, and colleagues., • Facilitate and support a variety of internal meetings and event rentals from small committee meetings to large screenings and receptions., • Communicate effectively with all levels of DGA management, DGA office staff, theater projection staff, janitorial staff, and building supervisor., • Assist in the setup, execution, and strike of assigned DGA meetings and/or events rentals., • The ideal candidate will also stand for long periods of time and will be expected to work well in a team environment., • Some lifting will be required., • Supervise areas., • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • A background in theater operations, facility management, and/or security is preferred., • Must be available to work varied hours, including weeknights and weekends., • Professional appearance is essential., • Comply with strict business ethics guidelines., • Estimated 15-25 hrs./wk.
