Job DescriptionJob Description We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated professional to fill the position of Construction Site Supervisor with Canam. This role requires travelling throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of USA. As a member of our team, your responsibilities include: • Coordinate with plant coordinators (steel delivery, steel deck, joists, hardware), steel erectors (daily requests), and project managers., • Attend field meeting with other trades and summarize to the project manager., • Coordinate with the detailing/engineering department – field works, revision of drawings, clarifications (missing details)., • Accept erection drawings (follow-up on acceptance dates)., • Follow-up with transportation for deliveries issues., • Reception of materials and hardware (validate all delivery slips)., • Daily site report (daily log – plan grid)., • Assist the steel erector in repair requests (field work and deficiencies)., • Quality control, visual only., • Assist health and safety coordinators., • Attend and participate in, on and off-site meetings; including, but not limited to, health and safety meetings., • Update daily site progress in Smartsheet., • Monitor schedules and update on a daily basis. Communicate with various stakeholders and the general contractor., • Manage on-site record-keeping, including but not limited to, daily site specific hazard assessments.Qualifications The successful candidate will possess: • Construction trade journeyman certificate or diploma., • Three (3) to five (5) years of construction site supervision experience., • Ability to read structural shop drawings, layouts and erection drawings is a must., • Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities., • An autonomous results-oriented aptitude, with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities., • Knowledge and understanding of construction schedules and Gantt charts., • Exceptional organizational abilities., • English communication skills (verbal and written)., • Proficiency in computer system and software (Google Workspace)., • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.), • Ability to apply innovative and effective supervision and management techniques to maximize sub-trade performance.
