Position Summary As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating fire sprinkler systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Your designs will guide installation teams and ensure compliance with NFPA and local codes. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management, and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. This is a full-time, in-office position; remote work is not available. Key Responsibilities • Design fire sprinkler systems, including sprinklers, standpipes, and fire pumps, • Produce detailed drawings and submittals used by installation teams, • Conduct hydraulic analysis and calculations for system design, • Secure permits and approvals from local authorities, • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, • Conduct site surveys for new and existing buildings, • Prepare material lists and place orders as needed, • Update shop drawings and documentation throughout the project, • Participate in project closeout, ensuring all documentation and records are complete, • Attend on-site coordination, scheduling, and construction meetings, • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and compliance standards Required Skills & Abilities • Minimum 2 years’ fire sprinkler design experience, • In-depth knowledge of fire alarm/fire sprinkler system design, installation, and testing, • Strong understanding of NFPA codes and local building regulations, • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, • Ability to perform hydraulic analysis and system calculations, • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, • Valid driver’s license for travel to job sites, • Ability to work in all conditions (hot/cold, cramped spaces) and lift up to 50 lbs Preferred Qualifications • NICET Certification, • Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field, • AutoCAD Certification or equivalent experience Work Environment • 100% in-office role, • Travel to job sites for surveys and coordination meetings, • Work performed indoors and outdoors, sometimes in challenging conditions, • Prolonged periods at a desk creating designs and documentation Why You’ll Love It Here • Work with a leading provider of fire and life safety services, • Opportunity to design systems that directly impact safety and compliance, • Exposure to a variety of projects, from multifamily to commercial and industrial, • Collaborative, growth-oriented culture with hands-on learning and development, • Competitive compensation and benefits
