Wayback Burgers is looking for a friendly and dependable Cashier to provide excellent customer service and ensure smooth front-of-house operations. As the face of our restaurant, you’ll take orders, handle payments, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description: - Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately using the POS system. - Prepare and serve milkshakes according to Wayback Burgers’ recipes and presentation standards - Process payments by cash, credit, or gift card while ensuring correct change and receipts. - Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations when needed. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, dining area, and beverage station. - Package and hand off orders for dine-in, takeout, and delivery. - Assist with basic prep tasks and restocking supplies during downtime. - Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are correct and timely. - Follow all food safety, hygiene, and cash handling procedures. - Contribute to a positive team environment and support other staff as needed. Job Requirements: - Dependable and punctual – must consistently show up on time and ready to work. - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced, team-oriented setting. - Friendly, respectful, and professional attitude. - Basic math skills and ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system. - Previous cashier or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required. - Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
