Job DescriptionJob Title: Data Center TechnicianJob Summary: The Data Center Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of IT and network infrastructure within a data center environment. This role supports daily operations by performing hardware installations, break/fix troubleshooting, cabling, and equipment decommissioning while adhering to strict safety, security, and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities • Install, rack, stack, and cable servers, network devices, and related equipment, • Perform hardware break/fix, diagnostics, and component replacement, • Run, label, and manage fiber optic and copper cabling, • Assist with equipment deployment, upgrades, and decommissioning activities, • Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity checks, • Transport and stage equipment within the data center as needed, • Follow all data center work rules, change management processes, and security protocols, • Adhere to environmental health and safety (EHS) standards at all times, • Accurately document work performed and update tickets or logs as required, • Escalate issues appropriately and coordinate with team members or leadsRequired Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Experience in a data center, • Hands-on experience with hardware installation or IT equipment, • Familiarity with structured cabling, rack layouts, and data center tools, • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work in a controlled environment 401K, Health Benefits including medical, dental, and vision Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Totowa,NJ.
