:: \n\n The Forklift Operator/Warehouse position serves a key function in the transport of inventory and materials (both raw materials and finished goods) throughout both the operations floor and warehouse areas at this high-speed manufacturing equipment that produces both metal cans and ends at the Dubuque, Iowa manufacturing location. \n\n Duties And Responsibilities: \n\n\n\t • Reporting directly to manufacturing floor supervision and management, the Forklift Operator responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: \n\t, • Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment\n\t, • Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment\n\t, • Understands daily production schedules and corresponds with management leads and co-workers accordingly\n\t, • Performs visual inspection of finished goods (cans and ends)\n\t, • Monitors schedules, equipment or processes, and reports problems to supervision\n\t, • Assists with Material Movers (Line Drivers) or other forklift operations when necessary\n\t, • Follows all SOP’s and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues arise\n\t, • Assist the Quality Team in locating pallets for sampling\n\t, • Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean and organized through proper housekeeping\n\t, • Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times and follows safe work procedures and safety rules\n\t, • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned\n :: \n\n Minimum Requirements: \n\n\n\t • Three to five year(s) experience in a manufacturing environment\n\t, • Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support\n\t, • Preferred Requirements:\n\t, • High-speed packaging industry experience\n\t, • Knowledge of warehousing procedures and SOP’s\n\t, • Competencies:\n\t, • Strong problem solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach\n\t, • Ability to work independently or with a team\n\t, • Must be able to look at new solutions and “think creatively and strategically” to solve problems\n\t, • Demonstrated employee relations skills and the ability to motivate people\n\t, • Excellent time management and project management skills as well as the ability to multi-task\n\t, • Excellent oral and written communication skills \n\t, • Proven record keeping skills and the ability to focus on details\n\t, • Proven math and computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)\n\n\n \n\n Physical Requirements: \n\n\n\t • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl \n\t, • The associate may lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion\n\t, • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus\n\t, • The employee must be able to work up to twelve (12) hours shifts, both day and evening\n\n\n \n\n Working Conditions: \n\n\n\t • The majority of work will be in a plant environment but maybe required to move around to different parts of the manufacturing floor and warehouse\n\t, • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic in the plant \n\t, • The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures\n\t, • The noise level is frequently loud\n
