Job Description A day in the life You start your morning reviewing a new equipment start-up plan: rooftop packaged units on a commercial site. After verifying factory settings, you bring systems online, dial in ventilation and humidity control, and validate energy management sequences. By midday, you’re troubleshooting a water-source heat pump at another facility, interpreting readings, resolving alarms, and updating the customer with clear recommendations. You finish the day documenting performance, coordinating with our commissioning consultants, and planning tomorrow’s service calls across Michigan. What you’ll do • Perform start-up and service on commercial HVAC equipment, including air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control, and energy management systems., • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues on water-source heat pumps and rooftop packaged HVAC systems., • Verify performance against specifications and support commissioning efforts for both new and existing buildings., • Deliver dependable, professional customer service and clear communication on-site., • Travel within the Michigan area to support a growing service portfolio. What you bring, • Field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning., • Knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps, and rooftop packaged HVAC systems., • EPA Type I & II or Universal certification., • Your own hand tools and a clean driving record.
