Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This position involves hands-on fieldwork to install, maintain, and troubleshoot systems related to CCTV, access control, public address, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, working on exciting projects across various locations. Responsibilities: - Install, terminate, and test low voltage wiring for CCTV, access control, public address systems, and network infrastructure. - Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of system components. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installations. - Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines and standards. - Conduct site surveys and ensure work complies with local codes and company standards. - Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in good condition. - Travel to various job sites as needed, often with short notice. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in low voltage systems preferred. - Proven experience in low voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, public address, and networking. - Familiarity with tools and equipment used in low voltage work. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Willingness and flexibility to travel to job sites across the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) or beyond. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - OSHA 30 certification (minimum). - Track Training will be provided by VKC Systems. Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. - Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor conditions, confined spaces, and at heights. - Capacity to stand, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
