This temporary part-time position is available from mid-December to mid-January. Responsibilities: • Direct, coordinate, and control kitchen activities to ensure a safe, sanitary, and dietetically hygienic environment at all times., • Prepare a variety of menu items to order and manage food presentation. Must be capable of accommodating special dietary needs, such as pureed and salt-free diets., • Coordinate the services, repair, and maintenance necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors., • Maintain appropriate documentation of temperature logs as required., • Shop for groceries or oversee this task, delegating to volunteers with the Administrator's approval. Ensure adherence to the allocated grocery budget, recommend changes as needed, and submit receipts to the Finance Department., • Provide instruction and oversight to staff and volunteers assisting in meal preparation, service, and kitchen maintenance., • Report all concerns to the Administrator. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate degree or Culinary School education is preferred., • Servsafe Manager certification or a comparable state-approved Manager certification is required., • Minimum 5 years’ experience preparing meals for various dietary requirements., • Knowledge of State and local laws, ordinances, and codes related to the safe handling, preparation, and storage of food.
