Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning/Porter to join our team at our brand-new upscale fitness facility in Jackson Heights. The Cleaning/Porter will play a vital role in ensuring our members enjoy a spotless, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is proactive, and understands the importance of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in a luxury fitness setting. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the facility, including locker rooms, restrooms, studios, fitness floors, and common areas. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting equipment and surfaces. Monitor and restock supplies such as paper products and sanitizers. Remove trash and recycling in a timely and sanitary manner. Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly to management. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring member spaces are clean, safe, and organized. Assist with light porter duties, including moving equipment or supplies as needed. Qualifications Previous cleaning, janitorial, or porter experience preferred (fitness, hospitality, or luxury environment a plus). Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow schedules and instructions. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods. We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Cleaners to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and overall order of assigned areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping spaces safe, sanitary, and welcoming for staff and visitors. Candidates must be able and willing to travel to job locations including New Rochelle, Yonkers, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Reliable transportation and flexibility to commute between these areas are required. Key Responsibilities: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, and fixtures Dust furniture, windowsills, and surfaces Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly Clean offices, hallways, common areas, and assigned rooms Refill supplies such as soap, tissue, and paper towels Report damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards Follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures Use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly Qualifications & Requirements: No formal education required; experience is a plus Ability to work independently or as part of a team Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks Attention to detail and good time management Honest, dependable, and respectful Willing to follow instructions and safety guidelines Work Schedule: Full-time or Part-time Day or Night shift (depending on assignment)
