Our mission is to innovate and excel in our field while fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity. About the Role This position is responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Responsibilities • Communicates with existing customers and potential customers by visiting them and making outbound calls, web meeting and emails., • Generates potential leads and follows up on leads., • Creates and maintains a database of current and potential customers and submits the reports monthly., • Understands customers' needs and identifies sales opportunities., • Keeps up with product and service information and updates., • Negotiates on contract’s terms and conditions and price with customers and vendors., • Answers potential customers' questions and sends additional information., • Explains features of products and services., • Manages and mails out samples requested by customers., • Creates, plans and delivers presentations on company products for customers., • Plans, prepares and sets up a display booth at trade shows and other events in the U.S. and overseas., • Accompanies vendors from overseas when they visit the U.S. (and Americas)., • Visits vendors overseas such as Japan, Korea and China for project updates., • Maintains technical knowledge by attending professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in industry events., • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, etc. Qualifications • Professional experience at a trading company or manufacturer in the chemical industry., • Sales experience in cosmetic raw materials is highly preferred., • Bilingual in Japanese and English, with business-level proficiency or higher in both languages (required)., • Comfortable with domestic and international travel, including flying and driving., • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required Skills • Strong communication skills., • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers., • Negotiation skills., • Presentation skills. Preferred Skills • Experience in the chemical industry., • Knowledge of cosmetic raw materials. Pay range and compensation package $70,000-110,000/year.
