A Line Cook prepares food and makes sure Servers deliver each dish to customers in a timely manner. A Line Cook is responsible for that station's workflow and getting meals out on time. They oversee the cooking process from start to finish and determine how much time each step requires.
The Food Runner is primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately. It is this person who will maintain the cleanliness of the expo line, organization of order tickets, and communicate effectively with BOH team. DRINK RUNNERS Ensures drinks are properly garnished prior to running out to guests. Offers assistance to Guests by clearing away dishes and glassware, and refilling beverages. Assists other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate.
Barbacks help Bartenders open and close the bar. They keep the bar stocked with liquor, beer, spirits, garnishes, ice cubes and other products needed throughout their shift. They ensure that glasses, stirrers, shakers, strainers and other bartending tools are clean and in the proper position for Bartenders. The position of a busser is to reset tables in a speedy professional and e ective manner as guests leave the restaurant. Bussers are also responsible for the grooming of the entire restaurant and its perimeters,as well as supporting servers and sta with pre-bussing and other duties.
A Host or Hostess makes sure that their guests feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. In addition to escorting guest to their tables , host/ hostess are expected to create a warm and welcoming environment for patrons from the moment they enter the establishment. Hosts or Hostesses typically provide menus, take names for reservations and answer the phone and coordinate with wait staff about table availability..
Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing how to make traditional and classy drinks, as well as sugar factory signature drinks , processing payments, managing inventory and cleaning bar supplies.
The duties and responsibilities of a Waiter/Waitress include welcoming and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating them effectively to the kitchen and in addition, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell appetizers, desserts, or drinks.
