This role is responsible for correctly, safely and efficiently packaging and warehousing salt products for a salt packaging facility. Job Type: Full Time Shift Available: Overnight Compensation: $20.00/hr Sign on Bonus: $1,500 Principal Accountabilities: • Operating salt conveying equipment, operation of packaging and related equipment, operating mobile equipment. This can include, but is not limited to, working with Slidell packing line, • Ensures proper storage, loading and shipping/receiving of packaged products, • Strict compliance with safe work rules, good housekeeping practices and specified FSQR policies / procedures / standards, • Input production and downtime information into SAP and RT DUETT, • Minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, • Perform any miscellaneous duties as assigned including but not limited to: minor maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance tasks, housekeeping tasks, product quality testing tasks, confined space entries (bin entries), repalletizing / disposal of distressed products, etc. Requirements: • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer, • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility, • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable, • Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above), • Ability to operate machinery, • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written), • Basic use of a computer, • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice Preferred: • At least (1 year) of experience in a production or plant environment, • Forklift experience, • High School diploma or equivalent, • Experience with Inventory Systems Considered candidates will receive a phone call from a (952) area code. As an Automated Logistical Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will maximize your organizational skills and learn the ins and outs of supply chain management. From storage and distribution to warehouse management, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and perform specific functions in order to maintain equipment records and parts. Major duties include: establishing and maintaining records (stock lists, inventory, material control, etc.), maintaining stock locator system and administering document control procedures, processing requests and turn-in documents, performing prescribed load-list and shop-stock list duties in manual and automated supply applications, and operating material-handling equipment.
