This includes arranging local pickup, local drop-off, airline transfers, and airport-to-airport transfers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities during all phases of the shipping process. * Scheduling and dispatching drivers to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests, and/or immediate needs. * Relaying relevant information such as status or other messages to and from drivers, Routing Team, supervisors, and/or managers * Communicate with drivers and origin and destination location agents regarding shipment status, special handling, and delivery processes. * Monitor and manage shipments through completion. Keep supervisors apprised of the export/import/and domestic details of transactions in accordance with SOP’s. * In conjunction with supervisors, resolve shipment problems, matters, and delays with a high sense of urgency. * Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation. * Build relationships with local customers, offices, overseas and domestic agents, and service providers. * Review standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with TSA and Ace Quality Assurance Standards. * Pick up or delivery of time sensitive freight and/or equipment between client location and airport. * May be responsible for special shipments involving perishables (medicines and samples) and/or oversee special accounts. * Must be available to work any shift, including day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. Education and Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required. * A college graduate and/or High school diploma with an Equivalent combination of Air Export experience highly desired. * Prior work experience in the logistics/freight forwarding industry is preferred. * Basic to intermediate experience using Windows operating system and Microsoft software applications is required * Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a variety of people. * Must have strong organizational and time management skills. * Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret verbal and written requests and directions. Must have the ability to compose letters, memos, emails, and other written documentation clearly and concisely. Can present oneself in a highly cooperative and professional manner when meeting both internal and external customers and vendors face to face.
