As a Delivery Driver, you will work with the Delivery Ops Manager to provide to-the-door customer experience for Joyleaf's delivery operations from the Roselle store location. This includes driving the daily routes and working with dispatch for customer orders using our delivery system. You will also manage the delivery interaction with customers to ensure a high-quality experience. This position reports directly to the Delivery Ops Manager. ** Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:** - Be proficient in delivery systems and own all aspects of the technology. - Deliver cannabis products to customers in a timely and reliable manner. - Use a delivery app on a personal smartphone to manage deliveries and routes. - Provide excellent customer service and handle customer complaints professionally. - Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and standards, as well as laws related to cannabis delivery. - Collect payments and give change as necessary. - Use a personal vehicle for delivery, ensuring it is well-maintained and meets all safety standards. - Learn and adhere to Joyleaf's standard operating procedures for delivery of cannabis products in the state of New Jersey. Requirements: - Must be at least 21 years old. - Ability to pass a background check. - Ability to pass a motor vehicle report (MVR) check. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. - Good communication and customer service skills. - Good knowledge of the local area and routes. - Basic math skills for handling cash transactions. - Physical ability to carry items and be on the road for extended periods. - Must own a reliable vehicle that meets all legal requirements for delivery. - Must be reliable and able to deliver in a timely manner. - Strong experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Ability to manage under a compliant environment. Description of Work Environment: The position requires work at irregular hours, e.g.. Delivery operations will largely run from 12-8pm from Tuesday through Saturday. Our company is a trucking company that delivers construction and other materials to different job sites in and around NYC's 5 boroughs. We are looking for CDL Class B drivers. The truck base is on Staten Island (Rossville area). Truck pick up times will vary depending on location Job Type: Full-time Salary: $26.00 per hour Responsibilities: - Break down of daily job duties (from start to finish) - Daily pre-trip truck inspection - Make sure truck straps are tightened for the trip - Reporting of ETA and any issues faced (traffic etc.) - Reporting once arriving at job site location - Maintaining a safe environment for truck loading and unloading (utilizing cones and a flag) - Reporting to the base once truck is emptied or filled - Proceeding back to base or second location, as directed - Conduct post-trip inspection of your truck. - Flagging may be required at times. - All drivers are required to wear the correct PPE at all times. This includes, but is not limited to: OSHA approved construction boots, approved hard hat, gloves, high visibility vest,and glasses.
