We are looking for a detail oriented, reliable Account Manager to work under moderate supervision to provide customer service for remittance-related inquiries within a set client base. The candidate would be responsible for processing payroll files containing sensitive 403(b) data, resolving discrepancies, and working closely with personnel in the business office. They would be responsible for accurate and timely work, in order to meet internal deadlines as well as external IRS deadlines.
Essential Functions:
· Process payroll files (.xls, .csv, .txt) through database to perform validation checks.
· Review reports for inaccuracies and contact clients for clarification as needed.
· Reconcile discrepancies in accordance with established deadlines.
· Perform research, investigation and analysis on issues arising from inquiries and inconsistencies in data to reach resolution.
· Send, track, and follow-up on correspondences from clients and participants.
· Input data into system platforms and keep records updated.
· High level of attention to detail is required.
· Communicate effectively with various levels within the company and with clients.
Competencies:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to quickly learn and effectively use new and existing software systems.
· Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet established deadlines, and maintain a high level of detail to ensure accuracy.
· Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present information in a clear and meaningful manner.
· Ability to take initiative in problem-solving, exercise sound judgement, and develop practical, effective solutions.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels of the organization.
· Responds to requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
· Ability to work independently under minimal supervision in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
· Respects and maintains client confidentiality.
Required:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
· 2+ years of business experience
Preferred
· College degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
· Experience in pension/retirement or payroll/benefits administration a plus.
