We are seeking a motivated, dedicated and proactive insurance defense attorney with a minimum of three years in the field and some trial experience. The position involves managing a caseload of general liability matters, making court appearances in the New York City metropolitan area and regularly reporting to claims representatives. Essential experience includes depositions, court appearances and motion practice, some trial experience, and some appellate experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Frequent and timely reporting to clients and insurance carriers
Represent clients in insurance defense matters related to automobile and premises accidents
Manage and litigate cases from inception through trial and appeal, including pre-trial, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, trial and appellate argument
Appearances in state and federal courts throughout New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree
Admission to NYS bar
Minimum three years' experience in insurance defense or personal injury law
Some trial experience
Admission to federal bar helpful but not required

Salary: Exact compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure, business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Attorneys can augment their salaries by reaching reasonable billable-hour plateaus.
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience
