Anikii's Cafe Lounge is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, delivers exceptional customer service, and maintains high standards of cleanliness, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced café environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and other café drinks according to company standards. Welcome customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service. Recommend menu items and answer customer questions about beverages and food offerings. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer payments accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, dining area, and equipment. Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies as needed. Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations are followed. Monitor beverage quality and presentation to ensure consistency. Assist with opening and closing duties, including equipment setup and cleaning. Work collaboratively with the café team to provide a positive guest experience. Report equipment issues or inventory shortages to the supervisor promptly. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a barista or in food and beverage service is an advantage but not required. Willingness to learn coffee preparation techniques and café operations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service orientation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts. Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg when necessary. Preferred Skills Knowledge of espresso machines and coffee brewing methods.
