Job Description DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage – Aquatics JOB TITLE: Seasonal Pool Bar Barback REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Manager / Pool Bar Supervisor SCHEDULE: Seasonal (May–September; weekends, evenings, and holidays required) COMPENSATION: Hourly (Non-Exempt) BENEFITS: Meals, golf privileges, and opportunities for professional development Burning Tree Country Club is seeking hardworking, reliable, and team-oriented Seasonal Pool Bar Barbacks to support our summer bar operations. This role is essential to maintaining an efficient and well-stocked bar environment, allowing bartenders to focus on delivering exceptional service to Members and guests. The Pool Bar Barback plays a key role in ensuring the bar operates smoothly through organization, preparation, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, outdoor setting. Must be 18 years of age or older. You: • Are at least 18 years of age, • Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude, • Work well under pressure and maintain a sense of urgency, • Take pride in organization and cleanliness, • Communicate effectively with team members, • Are eager to learn and support bar operations, • Have prior food and beverage experience (preferred) As a Pool Bar Barback, you play a critical support role in delivering a seamless Member experience. The Essentials (Core Responsibilities) • Stock the bar with necessary supplies including ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers, and beverages, • Replenish inventory throughout service to maintain efficient operations, • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, floors, and storage areas, • Assist bartenders with preparation tasks such as cutting fruit, restocking, and organizing supplies, • Remove empty bottles, trash, and recycling from the bar area, • Wash and polish glassware as needed, • Ensure bar stations are properly set up before service and cleaned after service, • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and efficiency during peak service times, • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment at all times, • Communicate effectively with bartenders and team members, • Be proactive in identifying and addressing bar needs, • Maintain a professional and positive attitude throughout each shift, • Follow all Club policies, safety standards, and food & beverage guidelines, • Must be at least 18 years of age, • Previous barback or food & beverage experience preferred Skills & Competencies • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, • Basic knowledge of bar operations preferred Communication Skills • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, • Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time, • Ability to lift and carry kegs, cases, and supplies (up to 50 pounds), • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, lifting, and reaching
