Full job description
You deserve to work somewhere that treats you the way you treat your clients.

At Lumara Home Care, we built this agency around one belief: exceptional care only happens when caregivers feel genuinely respected, well-supported, and proud of where they work. If you've worked in home care before, you already know what's missing out there. We're building something different.

We're a boutique, private-pay agency serving Bergen County families who want attentive, relationship-driven care for their loved ones. Small enough to know your name. Serious enough to pay you what you're worth.

What you'll do

You'll be matched to clients whose needs align with your strengths and schedule. Every day looks a little different, but the constants are:

Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Companionship — real conversation, shared activities, being present
Meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
Transportation to appointments and errands
Communicating updates directly to family members and our care coordinator — because families deserve to know their person is in good hands
What makes Lumara different

We don't pile on 30 bullet points and call it culture. Here's what's actually true:

You'll be heard. Our care coordinator is reachable — not just "on-call."
You'll be matched thoughtfully. We don't drop you into a random case. We talk to you first.
You'll be recognized. We notice reliability, warmth, and going the extra mile — and we say so.
You'll have stable hours. We aim to build consistent client relationships, not scramble-and-fill scheduling.
