Responsibilities
Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and individual preferences with precision and care
Assist in menu planning to ensure variety, nutritional balance, and seasonal freshness
Maintain strict food safety standards by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Support the dietary department by helping with food preparation, cooking, and plating for various service settings including fine dining environments
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and quality standards
Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless food service experiences for residents or guests
Contribute to catering events by preparing dishes that meet specific client requests and presentation standards
Skills
Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or hospitality settings
Strong background in menu planning and meal preparation with attention to nutritional requirements
Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling skills
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices
Experience working in fine dining or restaurant environments with high standards of presentation and service
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for catering, serving, and kitchen operations
